Cum a fost afectată economia României de pandemia COVID-19 și ce speranțe sunt pentru anul 2021

Pandemia COVID-19 nu este doar o criză sanitară fără precedent în ultimii zeci de ani, efectele sale negative fiind resimțite în aproape toate domeniile. În România, sectorul economic a avut destul de tare de suferit, economia contractându-se cu aproape 6%, conform estimărilor Fitch, iar deficitul bugetar ar urma să ajungă la un maxim istoric de 9,8%. Peste un milion de angajați au intrat în șomaj tehnic iar sute de mii și-au pierdut locul de muncă. 

Chiar dacă tabloul arată destul de sumbru, lucrurile nu stau atât de rău pe cât arătau cele mai estimările făcute după apariția pandemiei, la începutul anului.

Șomajul se menține în cote rezonabile

După aproape un an în care ne-am luptat cu efectele pandemiei, rata șomajului a crescut în România cu 1,3%. Dacă în trimestrul IV al anului 2019 rata șomajului era de 3,9%, datele INS arată că în trimestrul III al anului 2020 rata șomajului a ajuns la 5,2%. Din nefericire, pe grupe de vârstă, rata şomajului a atins nivelul cel mai ridicat (19,2%) în rândul tinerilor (15-24 ani).

Numărul salariaților, excluzând cadrele militare, s-a diminuat cu circa 70.000, ceea ce înseamnă că o pondere semnificativă din persoanele care au rămas fără loc de muncă au reușit să se reangajeze. Dacă în luna februarie în România 4.997.000 de angajați, în octombrie numărul acestora era 4.926.400.

Raze de speranță pentru 2021

Aprobarea unui vaccin împotriva COVID-19 la finele anului 2020 a fost o veste care nu poate decât să bucure piețele economice, perspectiva pentru anul 2021 fiind una pozitivă. Agenția de evaluare financiară Fitch Ratings a prognozat în raportul publicat la sfârșitul lunii octombrie, înainte de omologarea serului, că economia României va înregistra, în medie, un avans de 4% în 2021-2022, susţinută de revenirea cererii interne şi externe.
