Fostul președinte al Autorității Naționale pentru Protecția Consumatorului, Horia Constantinescu, în prezent șeful Comisariatului Județean pentru Protecția Consumatorilor Constanța, și-a dat, duminică, demisia din PSD.
Decizia vine la numai câteva zile după ce a anunțat că va candida la funcția de primar al Constanței.
Contactat de mainnews.ro, Horia Constantinescu și-a explicat decizia:
„Eu sunt un personaj foarte ascultător și parcurgând presa și declarațiile domnului Felix Stroe, am aflat că dacă continui cu candidatura mă auto-exclud. Și cum sunt dintre puținii bărbați în sensul atitudinii, verticalității din această organizație am ales să demisionez pentru a continua demersul candidaturii”, a declarat Horia Constantinescu pentru mainnews.ro.
În urmă cu câteva zile, Horia Constantinescu și-a anunțat intenția de a candida la Primăria Constanța și a precizat că nu a cerut permisiunea colegilor săi social-democrați pentru a candida. Potrivit presei locale, organizația PSD îl susține pe actualul primar Decebal Făgădău pentru o nouă candidatură, iar liderul local Felix Stroe ar fi spus că dacă Constantinescu va candida la Primăria Constanța ar reprezenta o „auto excludere” din partid.

În noiembrie 2019, Președintele Autorității Naționale pentru Protecția Consumatorilor, Horia-Miron Constntinescu a fost eliberat din funcție printr-o decizie a premierului Ludovic Orban publicată, joi, în Monitorul Oficial.
Conform acestei decizii, până la numirea noului conducător al instituției, secretarul general al ANPC, Mihaela Irina Ionescu, va fi noul președinte.
„A fost o oportunitate pentru care trebuie sa-i multumesc Domnului Ministru Badalau.
Am convingerea ca si aceasta alegere va fi una in folosul institutiei, deoarece am colaborat bine cu actuala Doamna Presedinte si sper ca proiectele la care s-a lucrat in aceasta perioada, sa continue!
Au fost trei luni teribile si culmea cu lupte majore inclusiv in interiorul institutiei.
