Raport IATA: Creștere a traficului aerian, înregistrată în luna mai, în contextul ridicării restricțiilor
Majoritatea statelor europene și nu numai au început procesul de ridicare treptată a restricțiilor acum aproximativ o lună. Un raport al Asociaţiei Internaţionale de Transport Aerian (IATA) arată o creștere în luna mai a traficul aerian de pasageri.
Traficul aerian de pasageri a crescut cu 30% pe plan global în luna mai, faţă de luna aprilie, arată raportul IATA.
Creșterea înregistrată vine și în contextul în care companiile aeriene au redus preţul biletelor interne în medie cu 23%.
„Operatorii aerieni au nevoie de numerar din cauza crizei provocate de pandemia de coronavirus (COVID-19) şi caută să încurajeze pasagerii să zboare, oferindu-le preţuri scăzute ale biletelor. Dificultatea o reprezintă majorarea costurilor, din cauza restricţiilor în vigoare”, a declarat economistul şef al IATA, Brian Pearce, scrie Agerpres, preluând Reuters.
IATA reprezintă aproximativ 290 de companii aeriene din întreaga lume, echivalentul a 82% din traficul aerian mondial.
