Deputatul PSD Cătălin Rădulescu vorbeşte în numele grupului intelectualilor din PSD, menţionând că aceştia urmează a decida dacă vor candida în cadrul congresului din 29 iunie.
”Eu cred că voi candida la Congres, așa cum cred că vor candida mulți dintre colegii și prietenii mei, dar vreau să văd ce se întâmplă în continuare. Văd că este o luptă pentru putere în PSD, noi nu am înțeles nimic de fapt din votul de pe 26, după care cred că grupul nostru de oameni intelectuali ne vom întâlni și vom lua o decizie în interiorul partidului nostru, ca să ne constituim ca și grup și sigur, să ne anunțăm candidaturile și cu susținerile și pentru candidatura la președinția partidului și ce va urma mai departe (…). Eu dacă candidez, voi candida pentru funcția de vicepreședinte”, a spus Cătălin Rădulescu la RFI.
Parlamentarul spune cine face parte din grupul intelectualilor din PSD: „Oameni de exemplu ca Codrin Ștefănescu, Olguța Vasilescu, Cătălin Rădulescu, Șerban Nicolae, Eugen Teodorovici, Liviu Pleșoianu, Dorel Căprar, noi nu am fost oamenii unui președinte, noi suntem oameni vechi în PSD, din păcate pentru unii sau pentru alții suntem intelectuali, nu avem facultăți făcute nici la SRI, nici nu provenim din tot felul de meserii, de genul vânzători de cârnați, tractoriști, șoferi și atunci încercarea de a se prelua puterea de anumiți indivizi din partid sau încercând să se impună în partid cred că e o mare greșeală”.
