Iohannis reamintește, în mesajul de Ziua Justiției, de „încercările repetate ale politicului de a subordona justiția”

Klaus Iohannis susține, în mesajul transmis de Ziua Justiției, necesitatea clarității și accesibilității legilor, făcând referire la încercările repetate din ultimii ani ale politicului de a „subordona justiția” .

„În societățile democratice, justiția independentă este garanția fundamentală pentru înfăptuirea dreptății și menținerea echilibrului social. Esența principiului statului de drept constă în respectarea legilor și în asigurarea unei justiții corecte și aplicate egal tuturor cetățenilor.

Pentru a putea fi însă îndeplinite aceste deziderate, este nevoie ca legile să fie accesibile, clare și predictibile. În caz contrar, când sunt făcute schimbări constante, fără o direcție unitară, respectul pentru lege are de suferit.

Ultimii ani au fost marcați de încercări repetate de a subordona justiția politicului, prin modificări intempestive ale legislației de organizare a sistemului judiciar, ale statutului magistraților și ale legislației penale. Acest asalt a determinat reacția promptă a cetățenilor, a magistraților, care și-au apărat cu demnitate valorile care le definesc misiunea, a forțelor politice atașate principiilor democratice, precum și a instituțiilor europene.

Participarea impresionantă la referendumul din 26 mai a demonstrat, dincolo de orice îndoială, că românii susțin valorile europene, statul de drept și își doresc să trăiască într-o țară în care legea este egală pentru toți. Voința exprimată de cetățeni îi obligă pe decidenții politici să acționeze pentru consolidarea parcursului european al României și pentru o justiție dreaptă. Totodată, acest semnal transmis prin vot trebuie să îi responsabilizeze și pe toți cei care sunt implicați în asigurarea actului de justiție.

Încrederea se construiește prin fiecare interacțiune a unui justițiabil cu sistemul judiciar. Inițiative precum «Zilele porților deschise», activități de educație juridică în societate sau dezbateri publice autentice conduc la reducerea distanței dintre cetățeni și instituții și consolidează democrația.

Reformele de substanță realizate de România în domeniul justiției, progresele remarcabile care au fost înregistrate în lupta împotriva corupției nu trebuie puse sub semnul întrebării prin demersurile actuale de natură legislativă sau administrativă menite să le relativizeze. În același timp, societatea românească are nevoie de o dezbatere autentică despre actualele provocări cu care se confruntă sistemul judiciar, de la încărcătura instanțelor, lipsa dotărilor logistice, lipsa de investiții în infrastructură, la nevoia de informatizare, cu un impact direct asupra celerității soluționării cauzelor. Această întreagă dezbatere trebuie să aibă mereu în centrul preocupărilor sale respectarea drepturilor și libertăților cetățeanului, precum și o viziune pe termen lung, fără de care acest serviciu public, care este justiția, nu își poate înfăptui misiunea.

Felicitări tuturor celor care, prin efort și dedicare, contribuie la înfăptuirea actului de justiție în România și la respectul față de lege, ca premisă pentru o societate mai bună!”, transmite Administrația Prezidențială.
