Mihai Fifor, ministrul interimar al Afacerilor Interne, susține că intervenția autorităților în cazul de la Caracal a fost o eroare umană, menționând că toți cei care au greșit vor fi sancționați.
„A fost un șir nefericit de erori și de proastă comunicare.
Putem face destituiri. Am și făcut asta. Încercăm să-i pedepsim pe cei care au greșit, dar încercăm să învățăm din greșelile de la Caracal. Toți cei care au greșit vor fi aspru pedepsiți. A fost eroare umană multă, nepricepere, indolență. Nu mă feresc să spun asta.
Raportul Comisiei este aproape finalizat.
Nu există rabat și toleranță. Pleacă acasă. Indiferent despre cine este vorba”, a declarat Mihai Fifor pentru Mediafax.

De obicei se trimite ambulanţă când se ştie unde este persoana. Acolo indexul nu a pus ambulanţă în ascultare, ci doar poliţie. Ambulanţa, dacă era anunţată, mergea la prima casă, unde a mers şi poliţia iniţial, dar nu găsea nimic. Misiunea de noapte nu a mai venit prin 112. În misiunea de noapte putea să fie solicitată ambulanţă, la nevoie.
Dacă terminalul telefonic folosit de Alexandra era unul vechi, chiar dacă era implementat AML, era imposibilă localizarea. AML are nevoie de smartphone. În momentul în care ai sunat la 112, cu ajutorul AML, se deschide automat GPS-ul telefonului, se ia poziția, și se transmite locația printr-un mesaj. Asta durează 10-20 de secunde. Sunt și limitări în acest sistem, care vor fi puse în raport.
Diferența dintre noi și cei din SUA este că în SUA cel care preia apelul 112, care răspunde la telefon, dirijează forța. La noi nu se poate. La noi preiau dispecerii și aici apare fractura.
Există niște limitări. Asta este prima soluție. Google o gestionează și o activează. Nu te oprești aici și vii cu mai multe mijloace de costisitoare.
Este o sumă avansată de colegii de la STS. Este sub 1 milion de euro. Sistemul nu a existat până în 2016. Există și alte țări care nu au AML.
