Surse din industria Apărării au declarat pentru Mainnews.ro că asocierea dintre compania franceză Naval Group și Șantierul Naval Constanța a câștigat licitația pentru furnizare de corvete.
Cea mai ieftină ofertă a fost cea a grupului francez, valoarea fiind de 1,2 miliare euro. Damen, companie olandeză a licitat 1,24 miliarde, iar Fincantieri 1,34.
Potrivit informaţiilor din spaţiul public, unul dintre cei care a încercat să blocheze câştigarea licitaţiei de francezi a fost Liviu Dragnea, presa din Franţa acuzând-l că a încercat să descalifice grupul francez.
România va achiziţiona patru corvete noi, care vor fi construite şi dotate într-un șantier naval de pe teritoriul românesc.
Principala condiție pentru calificarea în competiția câștigării acestui program a fost ca ofertanții să fie atât membri ai Organizației Tratatului Nord-Atlantic, cât și ai Uniunii Europene.
